Kite and banner work shop

On Sunday 23rd JUNE, we are holding space for peace, love and creativity, in solidarity with Palestine.  

At a time when there is so much division and hate, there has never been more need for us to come together as a community and create spaces of love. 

Children, the world’s most precious beings, our hope and our future, are suffering in ways we cannot even imagine. 11,000 children have been killed in less than 4 months in Gaza. 

We feel that devastation here, nomatter our race, religion or political beliefs.  

Our children are being affected by this in different ways. Sadly, we cannot shelter our children from the harsh realities of the world, but we can create open safe spaces for them, where they can express themselves. We can show them how to treat others and how we come together to support each other.  

The day will be filled with kite and banner making, accompanied by Palestinian snacks. We will then gather for a small children’s demo [outside Sydenham arts], where the children can display their banners and fly their kites. 

This event is primarily for the kids, so it goes without saying that there will be no tolerance for any hate or discrimination
